During this 4 day tour, you’ll stay at the Marriott Hotel in Swansea, situated on Swansea Bay and right beside the pretty Marina. This is a 4 star hotel and many rooms have either a sea or marina view.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Travel to the Swansea Area
We will take a leisurely journey along the picturesque Head of the Valleys road, stopping on route for lunch and refreshments.

You can then check into the Marriott Hotel and have some well earned relaxation time. Spend late afternoon strolling around the marina, before enjoying an evening meal at the hotel.

Day 2 - Swansea, Mumbles and Gower Peninsula

Enjoy the morning exploring Swansea’s bustling city centre with its famous traditional market. Then walk to Swansea’s maritime quarter where the free-to-enter National Waterfront Museum tells the human story of Welsh industry and innovation, dating back 300 years to the present day.

At the end of the morning, the coach will take you along to the picturesque Victorian seaside town of Mumbles. Surround yourself in the history and tradition that this area is steeped with. There’s a Lighthouse built in 1794, and a
Victorian Pier. Oystermouth Castle is also well worth a visit, sitting on a hilltop with fabulous views overlooking the sea.

If you feel the urge for a bit of retail therapy, Mumbles will suit perfectly. There’s a range of high end shops, independent boutiques and quirky galleries, you can really spoil yourself when you visit Mumbles!.

After free time to explore Mumbles, we head for
the Gower Heritage Centre for an afternoon discovering The Gower peninsula, Britain’s first designated “Area of Outstanding Beauty”.

After time at the Heritage Centre, the coach will take you around the peninsular, revealing ancient sites, monuments and castles.

Day 3 Tenby and the National Botanic Garden of
Wales

We head west into Pembrokeshire to the pretty seaside and fishing resort of Tenby. Walk along Tenby’s South Beach towards Giltar Point and the start of Pembrokeshire Coastal Path for fantastic views of Caldey Island. Stroll the narrow-cobbled streets of Tenby itself with gift shops, restaurants and public houses or sit and people watch from an outdoor café. Or perhaps wander along the harbour, where you can board one of the cruises to nearby Caldey Island.

There is time to enjoy lunch, perhaps overlooking the pretty harbour.

In the afternoon we visit the National Botanic Garden of Wales. Opened in 2000, the Garden is a fascinating blend of modern and historic. At its heart is the Great Glasshouse, the world’s largest single-span glasshouse, a remarkable tilted glass dome designed by world-famous architects Norman Foster and Partners.

Inside, a Mediterranean landscape is dominated by a six metre deep ravine and rock terraces, and sheer faces are cut by streams and waterfalls.

Day 4 Travel Home

We will travel home over the magnificent Severn Bridge, with a choice of stop offs along the way.
